AUGUST 8TH, 2024; MAYRA FRITSCHE, INSPIRATION IN SUSTAINABILITY AND LEADERSHIP
In our latest installment of the “Sustainability Champions” campaign at Bustamante + Freyre, we interviewed Mayra Fritsche, Head of the ESG and Sustainability Department at Altosano. Mayra is a lawyer, psychologist, and master in business communication, with more than 17 years of experience in designing and executing public relations, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability strategies.
During the interview, Mayra shared her motivations for studying law and how her vocation for justice led her to specialize in family law and, later, in business communication. She also spoke about her career at Altosano, where she has faced and overcome significant challenges in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
Mayra highlighted the importance of soft skills and emotional intelligence in her team, as well as her commitment to sustainability, which has been a guiding principle in her professional life since her time at Johnson & Johnson. In addition, she shared her vision as the new president of the Mexico Global Compact Board, focusing on strengthening the board of directors and documenting knowledge to ensure continuity.
To motivate other women, Mayra emphasized the importance of self-knowledge and emotional management, encouraging them to define and pursue their true desires and goals.
