Mr. Campos currently holds a position as a Partner of the Firm, where he consults on regulatory and environmental issues, and also litigates in administrative matters.<\/p>\n \n

As a core member of the consulting team within the firm, his areas of experience include advising national and international companies in the fields of electricity, hydrocarbons, infrastructure, industry, tourist resorts, and urban development. He has also actively participated in legal planning for the defense of various companies; as well as designed strategic litigation projects for environment protection. Additionally, he has experience working with NGOs, as well as federal, state and municipal authorities.<\/p>\n \n

Mr. Campos studied at La Salle University (ULSA) where he obtained his Law Degree, and is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law and Public Policy at Universidad del Medio Ambiente. He has broadened his legal training with certificate programs in the energy field from the Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD) and the Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM), as well as in Amparo and Human Rights by the National Supreme Court of Justice (SCJN).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

He has a Law degree from Universidad Intercontinental (Mexico) and has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law, completed at Universidad Internacional de Andaluc\u00eda (Spain).<\/p>\n \n

Daniel joined the B+F team since its foundation (2021) and in January 2023 he was appointed as a partner of the firm.<\/p>\n \n

He is a member of the Mexican Attorney Bar Association and has over 15 year experience in environmental and energy issues. His areas of expertise are: administrative-environmental litigation (particularly amparo proceedings, annulment proceedings, administrative appeals, claims of damage to state property, judgments for the recognition and execution of arbitration awards, administrative complaints, among others) as well as consulting for the development of projects in the primary (mining and agriculture), secondary (manufacturing, electricity, gas) and tertiary (hotels, tourist developments, commercial and residential real estate developments) economic sectors.<\/p>\n \n

On the professional field, he stands out for having participated in the preparation and management of over 100 environmental impact studies and land use change in forest lands for the development of various infrastructure, real estate, energy, industrial and tourism projects, as well as in over 70 environmental audits. Additionally, his involvement in various lawsuits (served against decisions issued by administrative-environmental authorities) stands out since his success rate for favorable sentences is over 86%.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

From the private sector, she has led and advised several investment projects in the energy sector (from both social and environmental purviews), with a special focus in the off shore and on shore hydrocarbons sector, as well as renewable energies, combined cycle generation plants and natural gas pipelines, where she collaborated in land legalization procedures. In charge of the Bustamante + Freyre Firm in the Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Tabasco area. She alsocoordinates B+F’s social area, she has therefore directed and formulated multiple social studies on indigenous affairs, as well as compliance audits with focus on the Equator Principles and the Environmental and Social Performance Standards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).<\/p>\n \n

She has over 18 years experience in environmental matters. Founding member of the Interdisciplinary Collective of Applied Science and Environmental Law, from where she seeks to propagate and socialize environmental law. She served in the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas. She held the position of Director of Inspection and Territorial Surveillance and Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone at PROFEPA (Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection). Specialist in federal maritime-terrestrial zone and biodiversity.<\/p>\n \n

Law graduate from Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de Mexico, with a master’s degree in policy, management and environmental lfrom Universidad Anahuac. She completed the Certificate Programs “Selected Topics of the Amparo Trial” at Instituto de Estudios Superiores en Derecho Penal and “The judicial operation of the constitutional block after the June 2011 reform” at Instituto de Investigaciones Jur\u00eddicas in UNAM. She is a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA). She has authored several articles for specialized magazines, taught courses and participated as a speaker in various forums on environmental law.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
